As many of you know, I’ve been in love with fantasy for a long time. Ever since I can remember reading, really. I wanted to share my recent experience with converting my hand-drawn fantasy maps into digital format using Photoshop. This process has been part of my work on two projects: “Muni” and another novel that I’m aiming to finish soon.

From Sketches to Digital Art

The journey started with two maps, one for each of my projects. Initially drawn on paper, these maps captured the geography of my fictional worlds. Moving them to a digital format using Photoshop has been a game-changer. The digital tools allowed me to refine the details and enhance the clarity of these maps, giving them a new dimension.

Easier Integration into My Novels

One key benefit of having these maps in a digital format is the ease of incorporating them into my novels. Digital maps are more flexible; they can be resized and adapted to fit within the pages of my books without losing quality. This makes it simpler to include them in the final published version of the novels, adding value to the reader’s experience.

Forward Look

This foray into digital mapping has been both enriching and insightful. It’s not just about the improved aesthetics; it’s also about the practicality and versatility that digital maps offer for storytelling. As I progress with my novel, I’m excited to see how these maps will complement and enhance the narrative.
